Seeland (featuring ex-member of Broadcast & Plone) release debut CD "Tomorrow Today"

"Tomorrow Today" brings electronic pop with a real pedigree - Tim Felton was formerly a member of Birmingham-based Warp electronic group Broadcast, and Billy Bainbridge one-third of the now defunct experimental electronica act, Plone. Together as Seeland, they produce no-frills electronic pop songs that buffer between the retro '80s attitude of say The Human League/OMD and the trickling, psychedelic guitars of numerous art rock acts. Almost like Stereolab, but still in its own way. Inspired by Space-Age Pop, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, legendary British producer Joe Meek (Petula Clark, Shirley Bassey, Acker Bilk and Tom Jones) and eccentric '60s library music. Their debut album "Tomorrow Today" is a sweet listen, nicely pitched between the offbeat and the accessible. Includes "Library", "Goodbye", "Turnabout", "Call The Incredible", "Burning Pages" and more.
